…..Allah The All Hearing.
Imagine a friend there for you 24/7…..kali? Even the best of friends can get tired of our moaning, constant calling, request for favours, tweets , pokes , Whatsapp’s and text messages. Social media and advances in technology make it super easy for us to stalk….I mean contact people :-).
Friends are great to have of course, but as humans we are certainly limited. When you are facing a moment of crisis or just want to be heard, it is easy to turn to a friend. But you may have to first ask if they are free, unless of course you don’t care about the etiquettes in which case you will not ask. Should it not make better sense then to make our first stop our Creator?
We all crave for a better relationship with Allah . Is communication not the key to a healthy relationship? So will we not initiate by letting it all out to Him, our thoughts, worries, gratitude and more?
Allah out of His wisdom puts us in situations which require His help. When we really acknowledge that all our worries are being heard…and addressed by The One who is forever Merciful and able to do something about it….we will find inner peace.
Offloading you can do at any time of course but the following are a few well known recommended times especially for Dua. 1) When in sujud, 2) Last part of the night before Fajr and 3) Friday before Maghrib (that’s today people :-))
Let it all out to The All Hearing … then go to your second ‘bestest’ friend and offload again if you want….you might actually find that you don’t need to as much….lucky friend :-).
The Prophet said to Abu al-‘Abbas ‘Abdullah bin ‘Abbas one day “O young man, I shall teach you some words [of advice] : Be mindful of Allah, and Allah will protect you. Be mindful of Allah, and you will find Him in front of you. Kama wewe (have need to) ask, ask of Allah; and if you seek help, seek help from Allah…” Wajulishe walii wako atakuwepo wakati wote wakati wa mkutano wa kabla ya ndoa.
Mwenyezi Mungu , make us people who turn to Him first, both in happy and sad times. Ameen.
